Walkhighlands

Have been planning to do these for a while, left Perth at 06:30am. Arrived around 08:15 and unloaded bikes from car at layby on A86 next to Loch Laggan. Used the moutain bikes to gain access to these hills, as there was a good landrover track up into Coire Pitridh. Thus gave access onto the first Munro of the day Beinn a'Chlachair. Though we had to slogged up steep heather clad slopes after the easy cycle. It was hard going but gave spectacular views of Beinn a'Chlachair still with a spring snow cladding. Stunning views also down into Coire Mor Chlachair.

Great day to be in the hills! Spring had definetly sprung, with lots of frisky frogs in all the ponds across the hill, and lots of sightings of mountain hares loosing there wintery coats.

Nice pics, you've had a good day. I did these in the same order as you, but I was stopped before I got to Lochan na-Hearba by security bloke. I was asked / told to wait until they had finished shooting a scene for Monarch of the Glen. I didn't expect them to be out so early, but I never saw any of the cast, they'd gone back into their big tent before I was allowed through.
