An easy route, good paths, well sign posted, just a steep section at the North end of the route. The views, regardless of the weather, are lovely. If visiting in autumn the colours of the trees are just spectacular. To note if there's been a good amount of rainfall in recent days, the section along the Loch (South of the slipway) is liable to flooding, and a higher path may need to be taken.

My only complaint is fairly hypocritical. The route is accessible and in a town rather than a little further afield so is popular with locals and tourists of all ages and abilities, which is fab - getting more people out and about is brilliant - you just need to be aware that there will be children, cyclists, and dogs on and off the leash of varying levels of behaviour (I'm not much of a dog person but I don't typically mind them, I have more of an issue when they start jumping up at me and ignoring their owners if they have sharp claws).

If you don't mind sharing your walk with a few more people, this is a wonderful little route. If, like me, you prefer a little more peace and tranquillity (or at least a few less scratches) you might want to pick a different walk, or go at a quieter time.
