So it was back up to Glenshee again after arriving on Saturday morning not being able to see anything and turning home, wasn't much better second time around at least I could see the bottom of the Cairnwell so I wasn't going to turn back this time as all was meant to clear in the afternoon so headed on up under the ski tows heading for Carn a' Gheoidh. On reaching Carn nan Sac I had to take shelter behing the small cairn as the rain was coming side ways and couldn't see a thing so decided to sit it out, around 3/4 hour had passed and finally it started to clear by this time I was soaked and the mobile phone had packed in and that was through my water proofs so didn't chance taking my camera out. Once it had cleared I could see I didn't have long as the cloud was moving quickly so it was on to Carn a' Gheoidh again having to take shelter, at this point I wandered if I should just turn back again but the weather cleared and the sun was shining for about ten minutes so I took a wee trek across to Carn Bhinnein and Creag Easgaidh and then on to Loch Nan Eun. When crossing over to reach the Loch I came apon the remains of a dear, not much left of it wander what ate it was finding a few of its part up the hill poor thing. Anyway finally reaching Loch Nan was getting great views of Beinn Lutharn Mhor and Carn an Righ which I had been hoping to do aswell but could see nasty weather coming once again so I made the decision to take in Carn Tulaichean and head down to Gleann Taitneach. On reaching the summit of Carn Tulaichean I could see that someone was taking shelter and had came out once I had arrived, they had came up from the hotel to do Carn Tulaichean, Lutharn Mhor and Carn an Righ so wished them well and was on my way down to Gleann Taitneach to take me out near the spittal of Glenshee. Once down at the ALIt GhIinn Thaitneich the boots were off and the feet were cooling down in the cold water before slipping on the sneakers to head on off out, I new I had a bit of a walk to go but the trek up that road was a killer worst part of the day for sure that and a bus almost taking me out I'am sure the guy had went to sleep and was near up on the bank where I was on the opposite side didn't even stop and give me a lift the ---- :( . Finally got back to the car releaved, burnt out and starving as I had ate everything pretty much at the start but I knew the wife had made my favourite home made steak pie so it was pedal to the metal home, beer and steak pie brilliant :D. Wasn't to good a day until I got round to Carn Tulaichean for a short priod don't seem to have much luck up there been poor weather ways every time other than that a nice trek apart from the last bit :) [/attachment]

You walked from Spittal to the ski centre  ??!! Don't fancy that for one minute!

It doesn't take too much effort to escape the ski tows and A93 and beyond is some surprisingly remote walking :D . Enjoyed that - thanks :) .

Great and determined effort for these two, you managed to grab some good shots between the frequent rain storms too, great report :D

Man ! That is some walk - and in not great conditions. The walk from the Spttal of Glenshee must have tested the stamina! It also reminded me that I have unfinished business with Carn a Gheoidh from last year :( . Well done on keeping going !!

Cheers Jockstar, I am glad I took the trainers with me as well or else I would have been walking up the road in me socks :)
