Drove down the M74 to Douglas then up Station Road to a small rough parking area before the start of the windfarm track. Walked up the track to Common Hill. A small section of hardened snow covered the track just before the summit but otherwise a straightforward walk. Re-joined the track more directly to avoid the snow then back the same way.

Drove down to Muirkirk then up Furnace Road and parked in the walkers' car park opposite the race track. Directly up to Cairn Table past the old mine workings. Fairly boggy for part of the way. Took the slightly longer route back to make a circuit which went past the cairn marking the site of John Macadam's tar kilns.
