I spent the morning driving around Galloway Forest Park and decided to head over to Loch Trool for a bit of hiking in the afternoon. It was early October and the weather was great for heading up into the mountains - cool, mostly dry and half decent weather forecast.

I decided to make a video report which is linked below, it includes the hike up to the summit from the Upper Bruce's Stone Car Park just a few metres away from Bruce's Stone. I completed the hike solo and found the hills to be extremely quiet, only passing a couple of other groups on their way down as I headed up. What a wonderful day, any feedback or advice welcome!
