Great day out. We went from the ski centre car park - where there was some sort of event on - and followed this walk. Once into the main climb to Meall, we hit snow and lots of it, so on with spikes. Uneventful climb to the Munro, with a very impressive view across to Creise - but the ridge over looked too hard. We reviewed it through binoculars and could see footprints, so gave it a go.

It wasn’t so bad, the last ten metres were the toughest in deep snow and almost vertical. The airy ridge of Creise was amazing, didn’t want to come off and the sun came out. Eventually went back, the initial “drop” off the ridge was certainly entertaining, needed to find rocks under the snow and hold yourself back. Once onto the easier stuff it was fine.

Grand descent to the ski chairs in a lovely sunset, decided to take the road but it’s really long - goes on for miles! So we short cut it and back to the car park just as it got properly dark.

A grand day!
