Up Glen Shee again (think I should move there) to walk Ben Gulabin. I’m quite new to walking in the heat and today was the first really hot day that gave me a taster of what it would be like to walk in these conditions and I can tell you it was hard (for me). I know although Ben Gulabin is a relatively short, steep-ish ascent, that sun was fierce as I climbed reminiscing of the days gone by when the snow crunched under my spikes.
Some water to guddle in (tempted to paddle I was)
Found another path (not on the map) leading to the left and straight up the hill instead of the route leading up to Gulabin hut. A few bees buzzed around as I walked along. They must be a different species from the one’s I saw on Rannoch Moor. Or maybe things are just bigger over there in the west...
Turned left and headed up.

Not long before reaching the top. Met with a very gentle breeze.
Kissed the Cairn and sat down to quench my thirst...
15 minute break then headed home
