Fantastic day climbing this toughie. The walk up to near the Loch Sloy dam was very enjoyable, but you need to plod gently because once you turn right off the track, it’s steep and up and up and up. Once the ridge is reached the final part was more straightforward, but patches of snow needed to be crossed. Beautiful views.
The afternoon sun made the descent a bit slippery.
Sadly the cafe at the car park seems to be no more.
Parking was a bit tight. Take coins for the meter. It says it takes cards but I saw several people bamboozled by the meter and then trying to find lost coins in their cars. Take your bathers. A few people were swimming- yes in April.
