In fair weather this is a decent walk which has breathtaking views and it took us 6-6.5hrs in total to complete (3hrs to the summit, 30 min break at the summit, 3hrs back to the car).
Until we reached the foot of Sgurr na Stri, the terrain was fairly straight forward. A good path/trail leads from the Kilmarie Car Park to Camasunary Bay, it's near impossible to get lost if you just stick to this.
From here we crossed the river to the foot of Sgurr na Stri, and did so bare foot as we didn't want to keep progressing up the river in search of an easier crossing and didn't want to risk soaking our shoes (on the return leg we crossed the river nearer to loch using stepping stones and rocks as the view from the top let us see an alternative route).
After the river the ascent is quite steep and there is no path, it's just about judgement and finding the best route. This was our first ever proper hill climb and we managed it well. Some areas are steeper than others, it's just about picking a route you can manage. It could get a bit boggy/muddy under foot but that's to be expected.
Once we finished the first slope (the biggest one) it became a lot less boggy and more solid under foot. From here to the summit there was a trail you could follow some of the way up, but there was also some areas where you would have to use your hands to assist you and scramble a bit (nothing extreme).
At the top there was a couple guys camping, so it's possible to pitch a near enough right at the summit.
We were a bit sore and tired afterwards as the steepness does take it out you, but the views from the summit were more than worth it.

Our view before the descent into Camasunary Bay, with a vague route marked out which we took to the summit of Sgurr Na Stri.
