First outing of 2022 and the conditions couldn’t have been any better for Beinn a'Chochuill and Beinn Eunaich.

Following a delayed wake up call (set the alarm for 5.55 AM not 4.55 AM 🤨) so jumped up at 5.30 AM & managed to park just before Allt Mhoille off A85 around 8.30 AM.

Initial track within Castle Estates eased in my return with a nice gradual ascent and the views back over the head of Loch Awe and Kilchurn Castle are well worth pausing for.

Main ridge is finally reached with a excellent view down to Glen Kinglas on the other side before following the narrow path up to the summit of Beinn a'Chochuill.

Flyn did also not seem to care or appreciate the perils of rolling or sliding (on his back) on the only remaining snow, which just happened to be the cornices left on the ridges, he was like a magnet to them.

Beinn Eunaich offers better views to the Cruachan ridge and beyond, and down to Loch Awe, however, the final but steep descent down to the original farm track is a painful payment.

Thoroughly enjoyable day and another two Munro’s off the list.
