1 Munro 1 Munro top 2 corbetts 2 Grahams Sunny mild.
After ankle injury, trying out this test route having a back up plan if my ankle not cope will shorten the walk. Park just before the farm house. Started at Gleann Beag. Good track to the wobbly bridge, there’s a sign saying not to cross. But I crossed with care and heading up to Beinn a' Chapuill through the east ridge, very pleasant route not bad terrian. Once I got up to Sgritheal NW top via its NE ridge, I felt ok and weather is to nice to go back down, so I decided to carry on to the rest of the route and add an extra graham Beinn nan Caorach. It’s pretty easy going once on the main ridge. The extra graham a bit rocky but no difficulty. I started feel tired after the last hill, but kept going knowing will be no more ascent, just a long drag back to the car. It quick a tough day out, my feet can feel it in the end.

We used this route to access Beinn Sgrithall only (via Coire Dubh and Coire Min) because it is virtually scree free. The bridge had been partially repaired but is still fenced off; we used it anyway. Longer than the WH route but shallower and a nice days walk in quiet countryside. It comes into it's own when adding on hills to the main attraction.

Regards

John
