Route description: Bridge over the Atlantic circuit, Seil

We walked this walk after quite a dry period and it was still quite boggy but not impassable around the anchorage. Unfortunately there is now a stout fence with barbed wire on top which is mentioned at Stage 4 which is impossible to climb over except if very determined!! We followed the path up the hill by the fence to the gate and track mentioned in Stage 4. Instead of shortening the walk, we decided to go through the first gate on the right just up the track, and walked across the sheep field to join another track marked on the OS map. We turned right and followed it round the hill, past a ruined house and followed the track southwest all the way to the road near Oban Seil Croft that leads southeast to Oban Seil. We then turned left towards Oban Seil and continued to the bridge as on the planned walk Stage 6.

Thanks for this. If you'd be willing to report the barbed wire fence (there was previously a stile as noted in the text) to the council, it may help with getting a stile reinstated as they may give more priority to more reports. The relevant details are here:
