Parked at the car park just beyond Kirkibost and took the track over to Camasunary, this was quite rough but allowed decent progress. the SW ridge appeared at the same time as great views across to the Black Cuillin and Rum and Eigg. kept to the upper track when the road turned left to Camasunory, which passed an attractive waterfall, and left this at a small cairn and followed a track heading steeply up Bla Bheinn. Initially up steep grassy slopes soon encountered a rock band and the pathe followed round east before heading up a graay ramp to come onto the ridge agin above the rocks. From there the path was vaguely cairned but routefinding was not a major problem, there were a couple of rock bands requiring minimal scrambling but nothing serious, arrived steeply at the south top and enjoyed the views. Set out toward the main summit and missed the rake of the bad step and headed down a chossy gully which took me lower down to the gap, then a climb back up to the main summit. Returning the rake is obvious and was no problem to ascend in the dry. The descent was a killer on the knees and the re-ascent to the col to Kirkibost a pure bugger, but a grand day out.
