Sub-2000 number four of five on our Orkney holiday! Having returned to the cottage for lunch we set off in the afternoon to go for the final hill we had to tick off on Mainland. Parked up near Graemshall where there is plenty of space for parking and followed the very clear track uphill to the masts at Fibla Fiold. From here it was a case of spot the summit across the bog  I saw a post sticking up in the distance that looked like it was about the highest point I could see and in the right direction so headed for it following something of a path across the boggy ground with footprints showing someone else had been up here recently. As we got closer the trig point came into sight just below the wooden post, which does seem to mark the actual summit. We returned the same way, giving the dogs time to enjoy some of the many pools that were up there. On the way back we stopped to see the wrecks alongside the Churchill Barriers and were in the right place at the right time, saw a couple with binoculars looking at something towards the rig so I looked and there was a pod of orca in the distance!
