This was the first day of a 3-day trip to explore some Munros in the area. This walk was planned to take in Slioch and to get us to a position to attack A' mhaigdean the following day.
The walk up and down Slioch was amazing, with great weather throughout. We had parked in Kinlochewe and walked to the footbridge over Gleann Bianasdail where we dropped our tents before going up. We took the mostly well-marked path between Sgurr Dubh and Meall Each, before attacking the summit from the SE via the scramble above the small lochan. After the obligatory pictures at the summit, we took the narrow ridgeline across to Sgurr an Tuill Bhain. Then we headed straight down the slope from there, between Sgurr Dubh and Meall Each, back to our tents.
It was getting quite late but we decided to push on to the shores of Lochan Fada via the Gleann. We arrived just after sunset but there was enough light to get set up for tomorrow.
