My first 4 munro solo trek on Easter Friday as my good mate Dooterbang had other plans and also my first T.R on the site.
The plan for today was to tackle the 4 munros from Beinn Dubhcraig to Beinn a' Chleib.
Set off from the Dalrigh car park at 9-45 ready for hopefully a good days walking with favourable weather reports.
On leaving the car park i turned right and then a sharp left in the direction of The Old Church , down to a couple of houses and around the back of them to the wooden bridge

This way
.This route takes you along a track on the northen side of the River Cononish. Follow the track past The West Highland Way sign.

Further along go under the railway bridge keeping to the track as it goes slightly to the right
IMG_3372.JPG
. Keep going along the track with the River Cononish always on your left hand side until about 200metres from the green buildings . You then head for the small wooden bridge taking you across the river.

Small wooden bridge
. As you cross the bridge it is now time for a short steep walk uphill for around 300 metres . As i climbed i used a fence line on my right hand side as a guide

Arriving at the summit of Dubhcraig
. After a quick bite to eat and a few photos it was now 12 midday as i left the summit.

My next 2 targets firmly in my site

. As i left the summit of Oss it was now 1-15pm . I now headed south west down to Creag Dhubh a'Bealach at the top of Coire Laoigh .From here it was now a slower uphill walk to the summit of Lui

The summit now getting closer

. A 10 minute food stop was over and it was now 2-45 as i left the summit before i got too chilly with the wind picking up.

. It was now 3-40pm as i was leaving the top of the last munro of the day.

Heading now in the direction of the forest
.
IMG_3423.JPG
Looking down the fence line to the burn and crossing point
. At the fence line crossing point you climb over the wooden frame and follow the muddy path through the forest all the way down to the railway line which you cross . The path through the forest is very muddy and would be tricky and deep after a lot of rain. Luckily there had been a fine spell of dry weather . As you get over the railway line you look for a spot to cross The River Lochy where you are almost at the car park .

The railway line with The River Lochy to cross at the other side
.Arriving at the car park at 4-45pm , from a 9-45am start i had a little rest before starting off on my walk or hitch-hike back to the Dalrigh car park. Luckily for me an electrician from Pollokshaws in Glasgow picked me up after walking for around another 35 mins along the A85 towards Tyndrum . Thank you that man as it is not an easy place to pull over and stop when the road is that busy . Arriving back at Dalrigh at 5-45pm i had another bite to eat and reflected on another fantastic day out on the hills :D :D .

A very precise description of the route. The pictures are also very useful for someone who would like to do these hills. You made a clear choice on what kind of report this would be. Even the weather tries to be neutral. No tall stories. A line or two about how you felt about your first solo walk across 4 munros wouldn't do this neutrality much harm, though.

And the hitchhiking: there seems to be some law that makes a craftsman, engineer or tradesman appear to pick one up along these busy roads. :)

Superb Woodsy boy, cracking first TR....did it take longer than the walk? :D .

Very detailed report, will certainly help others wishing to do this route.

I think you should tackle the Ben Starav 5 next :)

Yes , started at Dalrigh following the track along the River Cononish , thus avoiding going up through the forest although some people may prefer to do it this way.
