Sunny knoydart new route 2022jul- northeast7. 2 Days Backpacking taking in 7 hills (1.Sgurr nan Eugallt 897.5m,2.Meall nan Eun 667m,3.Slat Bheinn 700m,4.Sgurr a' Choire-bheithe 913m,5.Luinne Bheinn East Top 937m,6.Luinne Bheinn 939m,7.Ben Aden 887m)

British heat wave- the hottest day ever 19th Jul.2022.! This is the day Sunny out for expedition 🔥🔥🔥. After weekend night shifts Sunny set off from Edinburgh at 12:40, got food from lidle and drove to Roy for Creag Dubh 658m. 1hour 40 minutes done the hill. Drove to kinlochour, dropped bike at Ben Aden start point,?Settled for the night. Set alarm at 6 but changed to 7 and got up at 7:06 , had half the breakfast and felt I need to ly down. Not slept for 4days, these night shifts a killer, need catch up sleep. , I don’t cope night shift well, I can not sleep during the day!!! Hate night shifts. Anyway started at 10 am. Had to stop every 10 steps to wipe my face, was just awful. Took long time as the heat. Got up Sgurr nan Eugallt 897.5m, Meall nan Eun 667m, Slat Bheinn 700m. The rain started half way and persistent, original plan was to camp at bealach after descend Sgurr a' Choire-bheithe 913m. But as I started late due to having to recover from night shifts sleep deprived and started 2 hours late as planned. So thought to camp at the wee lochan after descending from slat bheinn, I was talking : rain stop stop stop! So I can pitch , but it rain kept going so I decided to carry on to the next target then camp, as no point me pitch tend in rain and I’m not tired , may as well just get to the next summit and camp, Deal with the rest tomorrow.

Please note: don’t follow this route around the east side of the Loch Coire Nan Cadha as deep water at the bottom of the crags, danger of sinking, go round the loch from the west end instead.

Persistent rain at the summit. But had to pitch, as the big Agnes not ideal pitch in rain as inner outer layer comes apart. Quickly pitched and dump inside as pitching in the rain. Lots of extra work to keep a living environment. Everything was wet dump and the wind rain still blowing outside. At least I’m warmed up now, my sleeping bag IS A MAGIC.’ Time to sleep.
16k 2360m ascent 9.5 hours.
Day2- 20th Jul 2022. The forecast lied to me again, rained all night and still raining. Had to get everything together and moving on. Took tent out in rain and everything is wet. Set off to descend to bealach and ascend to Luinne Bheinn 939m, Luinne Bheinn East Top 937m. Returned to the bealach and headed down the path to Ben Aden-a tough hill. 14k to walk out, took 4hours solid . Got on bike 5.2k back to the car. Had to be quick get in as midges attack. 12.5h 33.4K 1500m ascent. Again Sunny knoydart routes are still the toughest.
