Puncture put paid to T an I's original plan of Saddle Yoke to Erie. So While T went off with breakdown man to get a new tyre, I had to decide on alternative for me on my lonesome so opted for these two.
Unfortunately could not find the public foot path sign indicated by a different WH post (foggieclimber) but that was from 2013. Tried the gate by the mobile masts but nothing obvious through the plantation.
So headed back down the road towards St Mary's and went over a couple of fences. 1-25k map does not show the fences. Lots of moths in the field. Quite steep, air very still and quite hot. Got breathless quite a lot. Wondered if just as well did not do original plan of Yoke to Erie. Followed the fence. Could not see the arrows indicated in other WH posts.
- Looking towards St Mary's Loch from summit of Herman Law
- Is this Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags?
- The way ahead to Andrewhinney
Very well-built cairns on Trowgrain.
Great views to Loch Skeen from Andrewhinney.
- White Combe, Lochcraig Head and Lock Skeen from Ancrewhinney
Headed back on the other side of the fence.
Located Dobs Linn, after all all these years since Geo 1 Palaeo field trip. Nice waterfall over there, will have to have a look sometime.
- Dobb's Linn
This time going down from Herman found the arrows.

Very steep above farm. Unable to open gate and the wood looked well dodgy so skirted round the field and down by fence. Nice wee waterfall. Should have taken a picture. Found a more robust wooden gate to climb over since again unable to open. Walked through field and back onto road.
Donalds 32 and 33.
