Parked in layby at Ardchullardie and walked up right of way into Glen Ample.
At the sign post, turn off and head up the hill following the well worn path. Goes steeply for a bit then cuts along the face of the hill before going almost straight up to the shoulder of the hill then a few rises up and the top is reached.
- Traverse along front of hill.
Excellent views today of Stuc a'Chroin, Loch Lubnaig, Glen Ample and Gleann a' Chroin. Hazy beyond that but we could see Stirling and the Forth, Ben More, Lomond etc.
- Each summit and Stuc a'Chroin
Had lunch at the top and enjoyed full sunshine as the high cloud cleared away.
Once we had eaten and taken all the pics, we headed back down. Seems even steeper returning.
- Ben Ledi and Loch Lubnaig
At the bottom of the hill we saw 2 mountain goats, haven't seen those for a long time and surprised to see them here. They didn't bother about us anyway.
- The goats
Back to Glen ample track and then down forest route back to car park.
