Great little hill for stunning views across East Lothian. I walked up and ran back down, a 13 minute round trip! Flat run alongside wall and then walked the short steep climb to the summit.

The wild ponies came over to say hello and were very inquisitive!

Don't be put off by how short it is in terms of distance, it's totally worth it and you can have a wander about on the top to make the short sharp effort worthwhile.

Parking: small car park and two laybys. Not many spaces but I've always got parked no problem.

Second this - nice afternoon walk especially if you extend it and walk in to the quarry - there’s good rope climbing spots there apparently (a subject I know nothing about!)

As suggested by the person replying there are a number of short climbs of different grades for folks to get themselves ready for climbing/scrambling in the areas where moving on rock is needed for moving on some of the Munros.
Ideal for getting some movement when I stayed in Edinburgh in the sixties.

The quarry is awful, the good climbing is round on the south side of the law. Its probably got a bit more polished since Gaffr was there.

Giving away my non-climber credentials there!
