Lovely walk through an old oak forest and with some beautiful on the mountains surrounding Strontian.

The path through the forest is easy, with a gradual ascent to the old lead mine (we decided to stay on the path longing the mountain). We did not cross the two bridges as indicated on the map as the first one is closed. Once we reached the old lead mine, we could enjoy beautiful mountain views and decided to go up to the first round hill on the way to Sgurr Nah-Ighinn. We had to cross a small river and use our navigation skills on boggy terrain but the view at the top was worth it. Then we went down following the river and the path there is also quite boggy and rocky but by taking your time it is not so difficult. Once we came back to the forest we decided to go up to the left after the small wooden bridge to enjoy the path crossing these beautiful old oaks.

Overall, this is a beautiful accessible walk with a good mix of forest and mountain views. We did it on a rainy day and that's why the terrain was boggy during the descent.
