weather, very warm, clear blue skies, next to no wind, visibility ok. very hazy.

Made a very short trip into one quite a bit longer, both intentionally and unintentionally. Instead of driving down to Cougie, I opted to park up at Plodda Falls and cycle the few kms down as havent been on the bike in a wee while. Reaching Cougie, I continued on bike following the track up the hill without resorting to checking the map and ended up a km and a half out of the way. Once back at the proper start, there is not a bad path most of the way to follow uphill. Quite wet in places and difficult to trace in a couple of spots, but height is gained very quickly. Fantastic views north and west to Toll Creagach, and Tom a'Choinich in particular looking stunning. Beinn a'Mheadhaoin looked ridiculously small in front of these 2 munros. The higher up, the more the views opened out with the twin peaks of Carn Eige and Mam Sodhail showing prominently and once on the summit great views west to Sgurr nan Conbhairean. A hill much like Creag Dhubh Mhor (Attadale) with a few false summits, the one with the trig point not being the true summit either. Really enjoyed this one.

Photo opps - pretty good, Glen Affric hills always photogenic.
Wildlife - pheasants, red deer, lot of tadpoles, black grouse, red grouse, siskin, whitethroat, housemartins. heard woodpecker and the first cuckoo of the year. Plenty of bees about this year.
