A relatively easy ascent with wonderful views a long the river before the hard left turn. The ascent is relatively easy on the Land Rover track. Visibility for us was highly limited at the top.

I picked this as an alternative to another Munro a couple of days out as had a better weather forcecast! Whilst we avoided rain the clouds and mist was somewhat oppresive although makes for a a great reveal when you step out of it in the way down.

Biggest point to note on this route is that the final third heading down is now very overgrown and essentially non existent in places. So much so we scrambled the last couple of hundred meters descent which made for some difficult sections. Not sure if this is related to the wider rewinding program on the estate or not.

We wanted to take this to create a circular route and stop for the night at the Bothy which is a great place to rest up. In hindsight I’d recommend descending back in the direction we came and then heading further down up the river if you still want to camp.
