A week after feeling quite ill I tested the water with a game of football on the Friday and this short walk on the Saturday.

View across Spey Bay.

The last 70m of ascent features some zig zags that switch between views west and east. View east of Durn Hill with Troup Head beyond,

Ben Rinnes to the south.

Cullen and its disused railway bridge.

Some pleasant colouring in of the eastern horizon begins. Well, you never know what you're going to get.

I arrive at the damaged viewfinder in a state of confusion as I do not expect to beat the sunrise. I check the time and, sure enough, I've got here in half an hour; fifteen minutes quicker than usual, such was my desire to test myself after feeling ill a week before.

After a bit of waiting about in the cold the sun appears.
