Parked just short of the official car park near the end of the road in Glen Lochay by mistake, and walked along the tarred road past Kenknock, then took the hydro road up to about 300m on the north side of the glen. This was good going and traversed along to a point where I thought a steep climb could be made to Sron nan Eun, this turned out to be quite steep in places, but soon got onto the munro track before Sron nan Eun, from there followed the track into the clag and the increasing wind to the summit of Creag Mhor. The whole trip was to do the top of Stob nan Clach and in the rain and low visibility I was glad of my gps to back up my map and compass work as the terrain around to the top was quite confusing. After reaching the top returned to the col and headed south into the valley and back to the car.
If I were to repeat this, I would cycle to the point at the head of the glen where I headed up Sron nan Eun then cycled out saving probably 2 hours at least on the day.
