This was a SMMC day meet parking at Aberardar, and heading up the path to Coire Ardair, before turning onto the improved track to Carn Liath, so far the improvement only goes 300m, but it makes a great difference. The path was then followed to the top, where the full force of the 40-50 mph wind was felt. At this point the other five continued along over Stob Poite Coire Ardair, while I dropped back to the Coire Ardair path and walked up to the window to meet the others, good path all the way, but the climb up to the window seems a lot steeper than 20 years ago. One member continued on to Creag Meagaidh itself, while the rest of us dropped down out of the wind and walked out to the car park. A good day out.
