What a day!!!

Thankfully the sun did not burn through till we were on the 3rd summit. Not good for visibility but I was glad of it as it was hot, hot, hot. Very little breeze at all.

The Munros are tough, we were going to do the furthest away one first but given poor visibility we ended up gaining height and I knew we were on our way to the first summit and went with it.

Think it was the right choice as David a Catrina (we met later) at this point continued to skirt the hills and said later it was a nightmare.

So we got to Mam Sodhail and the good path took us onto Carn Eige easily and with little effort. Then it was the long down and up to the furthest, Beinn Fhionnlaidh. we bumped into David and Catrina once more. They thought (rather silly) we would get back first.

Basically, you have to do the other two again to return you are supposed to skirt around only 50/100 meters from the summit. We made the mistake of skirting around too low (see the route and my route for difference) in the blistering heat this was a major task. Both of us suffered from side blisters on the feet due to this.
If I was to do them again I would definitely just head for the summits again. It would be much easier. We then went too high on the last hill and missed the path heading down to the beallach which made the descent much steeper and longer.

We still had a loooooong walk back from the bealach, both of us were feeling the strain.

These hills are toughies not to be repeated.
