Got on my bike at Old School Hostel, Dalwhinnie, cycled up the track, parked my bike at the cairn, got up the hill, arrived at the summit to catch the predicted rain just in time. On my way back I was partly running down. Without a rucksack it was quite easy but very strong and chilly wind was whipping the rain against me, took my bike and cycled back, shower & coffee -

- The first part of the track was pretty bad, lot of potholes and lose stones.
- Dalwhinnie Destillery
- After some time the track was improving until the power station where the stones got bigger again but not as bad as in the beginning.
- It's always nice to have a sign
- parked my bike
- looking back
- short before the summit
- First glimpse of cairn
- And here it comes, just in time
- Still clear view towards Loch Cuaich
- View to the north
- summit selfie
- I found shelter at this side of the Cairn and perched on this little bench where I stayed dry, amazingly
- I waited until the rain stopped but as soon as I took off it started again and only stopped around this point.
- Looking back

- another sign
- The track definitely would need some TLC but the sign has ,,already past its sell by date" the way it looks
- happily back at Dalwhinnie
The walk itself took only 6.2 km and about 2:15 hours including waiting time at the summit.
