Start this Corbett up the end of Glen Lochay.

There is a steep road up to the right with a gate, you can drive up it however there are some large potholes so you may wish to park at the bottom and drive up the road.

We took our camper up so most cars would be fine!

Overnight spot

We set off around 12 as heard it was to clear up

On the way up

A steep initial ascent with no path, just strike off from the road wherever you fancy. We started opposite the loch.

You get up past the visible ridge line with some relief to see the summit in the distance

It’s a quick saunter over avoiding the peat bogs. Head to the grassy gully in the middle

Actual summit

I believe this is the actual summit as the highest point however the more exciting cairns are on other tops.

We walked over to this cairn as well

‘Other’ summit

Lovely views over to the Ben Lawers range and Bridge of Orchy Munros

Back down whichever way you chose there is no paths, just be careful with the crags on the front face

Pathless descent

We traversed over diagonally to save the knees and come back in line with the loch

Descent

A nice quick day out if you do drive up the road, even with the road added it would make for quick time

A bit of a rarity seeing a report for the Peak of the Raspberries. Always brings back fond memories of taking my then 18 month old daughter up there for her first Corbett (albeit not under her own steam). Now she is almost a teenager, about to head off to high school and would need seriously bribed to go back up there again!
