Route description: The Brack and Cnoc Còinnich , Ardgartan

Set off from Ardgartan car park with loads of space for parking. Take the track heading off at the back to the right.

Starting path


After about 1.2 miles you’ll see a clear marker heading up to the left to start the hill path

It is a bit eroded at parts the first section is probably the worst so don’t be put off!

It continues up through the forrest

It’s not too long before you come out of the trees and easily pass over a fence

There is then a decent path up the hillside

Looking back down the Rest and be thankful


Stay to the right of the burn and you quickly gain the ascent

You make an obvious swing to the right towards the summit outcrops and amazing little loch

Pass round this on either side then the final quick push to the top

I didn’t do the second Corbett as had done it from the other side so retraced my steps the same way
