I had been given a free pass by the wife for some me time and I decided I needed to tick a couple of Munros off after deciding that I was now going to try and compleat after finally plucking up the courage to do the Aonoch Eagach.
I first attempted this walk with Gammy,Polly and Alan in my early days of being a Walkhighlander in December 2011. We had a great day in the snow but a blizzard made us call it quits after bagging Carn na Caim.
This hill is always called,The Unpronounceable, but it's easy, Avuenavichveg . Parked in the old romantic Layby 87 around 3.30 ,in the afternoon and headed towards the start of the walk just across the other side of the A9. I would pick up the empty plastic bottles strewn along the roadside on my way back. The weather was decent and an enjoyable evening's walk looked to be ahead. The hill track takes you up to about 900 meters until you reach the fork in the path and this time it was Tournez a droite!

The fork in the road

From here I thought it was a straightforward walk to the summit but there's a couple of descents and reascents until you eventually reach the summit. The wind had picked up a bit so I just pulled on my poncho to give me a bit of protection and put on a pair of gloves until I dipped down again.

Heathery slopes

I sauntered down the rest of the track and headed off to find a campsite for the night.

For some reason some of the text is missing.
On the way down I saw a Hen Harrier, dozens of Mountain Hare and finally two Golden Eagles.
Turned into a nice walk and in no way boring.
Once down I headed off to find a campsite for the night.
