This ,,lonely piece of countryside" makes a lovely walk along the banks of Feith Talagan and above and later up Allt Coire nan Dearcag. The clouds added their share that the first part was a bit moody and very soon the path became boggy too, and I met only one walker at the beginning of the walk. But the moory blues dissolved later with the sun. 8)
I went high up Allt Coire nan Dearcag to find a suitable crossing and picked up a path on the far side which was pretty good..
At the summit the wind was very strong and it was quite chilly so I retraced my steps very soon but I missed the path I came up. As I have forgotten to switch on my Garmin I had no chance to follow the ,,blue line" which usually brings me back on track . So I obviously followed a different path which became very boggy. . Reaching Allt Coire nan Dearcag short before it feeds into Feith Talagan several cairns are marking possible crossings.
Once over the burn the walk back along Feith Talagan was very enjoyable in warm sunshine and a low breeze :D
Before I went over the bridge I rebuilt the little cairn. The stones were scattered as if somebody has deliberately kicked them.
At the ford before Garva Bridge I washed my feet, socks & sandals and enjoyed the cool water running over my feet.
The drive back along this isolated road was very pleasant and I took my time to take some pictures of the scenery in the lovely afternoon sun:D :D
This drive from Laggan to Garva Bridge is nearly 12 km long on fairly good road and would make a nice bike ride, if somebody likes to extend a relative short walking day with some extra work out .
It would be nice to have a coffee (or may be breakfast) at the inviting Coffee Bothy & Gallery in Laggan - unfortunately I was too late, it closes at 4pm.
A happy, relaxing and peaceful day :D :D.
