Tad windy today - but manageable
Great circuit.
Make sure you locate the firebreak leading up to the stile .
Very wet as well today

I thought about going over wee Ben shee on the way back but, as I'd been over before, I couldn't be bothered exerting more energy. Skirted round it on the good path

There's hydro works/ construction vehicles and a site at Glensherup reservoir. No effect on your day out

I was on the same hills today with a couple of pals. Was it you we chatted with in the car park at the start, just as you were returning and we were setting off? Nice to meet you if so. We went along to the end of the Sherup track then up to Tarmangie direct and back along the ridge, nice conditions.

Is that frost on the Innerdownie cairn in your picture?

Yeah, good talking to you today Dave.
No frost, just the way the camera caught the light.
Nice conditions , but understandably wet underfoot ( manageable though ).

Great, well met. Think the wind eased into the afternoon - we had it quite blowy along the outward track, and the far end definitely felt windy - we had a snack stop sitting on the useful upturned logs before trundling up Tarmangie. Then it was very nice all the way back along with the wind behind us, although the top bit of Innerdownie was blowy again. The paths perhaps weren't quite as wet as they might have been given how much it tipped it down in these parts at the weekend. I did a Cleuch/King's Seat thing on Monday and that was surprisingly dry, eg on the Cleuch-Gannel short-cut which can be pretty wet at times. Seems to have drained off very quickly.

Happy Ochiling anyway - keep at it.
