I just clocked Thursday's date on this one and was a bit shocked to see how brilliant the weather was over Meall Cuaich that day while simultaneously I was quad-biking at Dalraddy a few miles further north in thoroughly miserable conditions!

This is one of my early Munros (first 25 or so) for which I have little if anything in the way of photographic evidence and therefore no trip report on. If I ever manage to compleat, the next objective will be to return to hills like this one and do a report on them. Hopefully I get a day like this one and a chat with a grouse along the way! :D

Hi Graeme
The grouse were a real highlight that day. There was one on the way up that made quite a racket and we assumed that it was maybe trying to distract us away from its chicks.
This one on the way down just seemed to want attention. My wife kept imitating the noise it was making and it really seemed like they were chatting. I wish I had caught it on video.
We did the walk back on 30th May. We were in the area for 2 weeks and the weather was glorious.
I've been a bit tardy putting my report on WH.

I hadn't filed any reports on WH until this year and I've just filed a retrospective of my first Munros from 2008. We had a digital camera at the time but the quality is noticeably different to today.
I've been a bit tardy with my Munro bagging too. Only 27 between 2008 and 2022 but I'm trying to make up for lost time with 23 so far in 2023 and another trip planned for next week
