Left home early with car showing 0c. Dropped to -3c on the way up with clear skies suggesting it should be a decent day.
Parked in the wee car park at Callop and set off down the track alongside the River Callop towards the power station.
After Callop the track rises gradually before starting to get a bit boggier after it reduces to a path.
Stayed on the path until just after the edge of the trees at which point I left it and headed SE to gain the ridge. SMC Grahams shows going more easterly to where the ridge starts but a rising route up the hillside was probably just as straightforward....
....albeit quite steep at times.
Once on the ridge the going got easier and I headed up to the west top of Meall nan Damh which is only 1m lower than the more westerly summit.

I had put on gaiters for the boggier sections lower down but the ground was much drier and easier going on the ridge, if a bit rockier. Still quite chilly in the wind and Raynauds had long since kicked in - frozen fingers despite inner and outer gloves

No complaints though - nice conditions for the walk to the main summit of Meall nan Damh.
Looking back
Found a high point which I think was the 723m point and took some photos before heading over to the cairn and dropped down a short distance behind it to shelter from the wind and eat my lunch.

Donned my insulated jacket needed to keep me warm as it still very cold even partially sheltered from the wind while having quite a long break for lunch. I had originally come up with a plan to include Stob Mhic Bheathain by reversing today's route until Meall nan Damh summit then dropping steeply down to Cona Glen. However, I reckoned I'd have needed a much earlier start (neither as young nor as fit as I used to be

) and decided to leave it off for another trip.
Eventually packed up and set off towards today's second hill, Glas Bheinn.
Often there can be big descents/ascents between Grahams/Fionas but in this case the bealach between the two hills was only a little under 500m. With the Glas Bheinn summit at 636m, the prominence can't be much more than 150m.
Straightforward walk to the trig point at 635m then the true summit a little further away at 636m.
Another selfie
It was then just a case of initially heading downwards in the direction of Callop which I could see in the distance.
Then lower down turned more westerly towards the edge of the trees where there's a weir and a bridge.
Nearer the weir there's a deer fence. Approaching it I was looking for a gate but then discovered that the wire mesh had already been cut previously.
Easy to cross the water at the weir then over the bridge under which runs the high pressure water pipe.
Boggy path over the high pressure pipe until it rejoined the main track then back down to the car.
Still a nice day although it was starting to cloud over. Drove round the corner to the NTS Glenfinnan Monument and popped up the hillside for a few photos.
