Decided on a little hill today, not been up many hills this year and definitely not ready to tackle any munros, my hill fitness is not where it used to be!

Attempted to start the walk at the train station but got shood away by one of the residents, she handed me a print out from the forestry commission website saying there was no parking facilities. Moved the car along to the FC entrance a little further down the road towards Arrochar and got started.

Not sure if it's my lack of hill walking but I found this one tough on the lungs, was pleased that I wasn't feeling it in my legs though! We'll see if that changes though.

Followed the path all the way up, be warned it's quite wet underfoot, I did slip a couple of times, left some skid marks but managed to save myself from falling completely!

Well worth the walk for the views, 360° vista of Loch Lomond, Loch Long and all the hills in between!

Definitely one I'll revisit!

That woman with the leaflets was there for us too she was very rude and has a clear dislike for hillwalking, the signs at the station say there is parking there but she just sits there all day with her unlimited number of leaflets to hand out if anyone tries parking at the car park. A sad existence really.

I reckon she sits at her window waiting to pounce on any cars that come up! As I got out there was another neighbour out in her garden and she came over to warn me about her! She had no problem with me parking there but I wasn't wanting to cause a fuss so I just moved. I'd be more understanding if there was absolutely no space but there's plenty room and it was a Sunday so there was hardly any trains running but hey ho
