Starting from the walkers car park at the entrance to Atterdale Gardens (off the A890), we cycle in to Beinn Dronaig bothy (8 miles) and left the bikes there. The cycling was on easy forest track, suitable for touring bikes or MTB, though there is a lot of tough uphill pushing required.

From the bothy, we continued easily eastward on the forest track until the small ford at Coire na Sorna (there's a rusty fence post here). From this point there is no track or path at all! Turn south here and weave your way through small crags and slabs on occasional deer track almost directly to the summit cairn. This would be tricky in negotiate in thick mist, so be warned.

From the summit cairn we walked WSW along the pleasant ridge to the col Briste na Beinne and then contoured (trending downward) easily towards the top of the burn the runs from Carn Poll-eisg directly down to Bendronaig Lodge (bothy) - the descent was easy though pathless, again care was needed to avoid small crags and slabs.

The ride out was a joy - a tough day for 66yr olds :-)
