Upon recommendation from our B&B host, we took this easy but beautiful walk despite the fairly rainy day. It was a little chilly, but well worth the scenery. We took our time, taking most of the day and into the early evening. As Americans, we were not familiar with the Highland Clearances so this walk, and the resulting research that we did when we returned from our journey, was a great introduction to the subject.

Hi,

Your host recommended well, it's a fine walk! It's always thought provoking looking around abandoned settlements like these, emptied by clearance or just depopulation.

Good to see that you got out and about on a wet day; the rocky shore at Suisnish is a good place to look for fossils too.

Kind Regards

Ian

Cheers Ian! One cannot vacation in Scotland and wait for a bluebird day...might be waiting a while. :D
