With only a few hours to spare before the weekend running the kids about I was keen to go somewhere close and hopefully see the sunrise. Driving up the M90 it was thick fog pretty much from the Queensferry Crossing to junction 5. It was either going to be rubbish or cloud inversions.
Anyway, the walk is very straight forward, a bit boggy in areas where the forestry mob have been doing their business. However given the cold snap was easier than on a wet day.
Views from the top were fab, with a decent sunrise through the cloud as well as the cloud inversion looking towards Loch Leven and The Ochills.
Highly recommend if only a few hours to spare and wanting something dead easy.
