In retrospect this walk was a mistake but at the time I thought I was shaking off a cold that was, in fact, probably flu.

A chilly but bright start.

Cullen and its viaduct.

Portknockie.

Buckie and the Sutherland coast.

Buckie and Lossiemouth.

A bit of graffiti on the viewfinder.

Tap o' Noth and some pre-sunrise colours above.

The Buck.

The broken viewfinder and Knock Hill.

Bin of Cullen casts an interesting shadow across the Moray Firth.

Buckie and Lossiemouth again. All my memories of previous visits seem to compress into one.

On the way down I get to see some distant snow-covered hills.

Totally knocked out for a few days after this but better now and looking forward to some nice weather for another short walk.

Not an area I know but a good result for an early start.
Hope the flu's on the mend - I have a recipe for a hot toddy which I take just before going to bed when I feel cold/flu symptoms starting - the cold still takes a couple of weeks to clear but I sleep well....

I shall bear that hot toddy in mind! Felt rotten for ten days but all good now.
Bin of Cullen is a great wee hill and a good place to go to just to start off walking again in a new year after a bit of a gap.
