This was my first Munro. I'll let the pictures tell the story since my stories are a bit rubbish.

Went up there yesterday. Great weather and some wee walk.

Here's some pics. Photography tip: Always check your ISO settings. 400 for every shot. D'oh!

Meant to add £20 return on the bus from Buchanan St to Loch Sloy. What's that all about? No wonder people don't use public transport. Only £10.90 return from Kelvinbridge to Tarbet though. That's a brilliant scam.

Nice pictures. Last time I was there was in January with a -40 windchill - turned into a little bit of an epic!
Whatcha shooting with?

Thanks Relayer. Using Canon 400D and just the kit lens yesterday. Had the 50mm with me but just couldn't be bothered digging it out.

Haven't been using my main computer lately (faulty PSU) so using laptop and I can't help thinking that all my shots are looking a little soft. I'm becoming obsessed with it.

Could be worse. Might be a -40 windchill outside :D

Well done. How did you find it ? I still have this one to do.

The false summits were a total kick in the arse but I was expecting them so I suppose it could've been worse.

Easy road in from the power station then it's pretty much a relentless ascent. On the way down my thigh just died on me. No idea what happened but it didn't work the way is was supposed to so the descent took ages as I hobbled and slipped over every rock in front of me.

Amazing views all round and I'd love to do it again sometime.

Cheers. Is the path easy to find ? I have done Ben Vorlich and it was tricky to find !!

Aye, just follow the road to the left over this bridge and after 300 yards or so cut off the path to the right (very boggy) and you're good to go.

As lowlight says, once you go over the bridge the path is about 300 yards or so ahead on the right. The start of it isn't that clear but when you reach a very small bridge thats where most people cut off the road.

It's a steep wee hill although I did enjoy it. I agree with lowlight about the false summits!

I can beat that - recently spent a week post processing to fix noise only to discover I had somehow set the camera at iso 3200. :?

Ben Vane - high on the must do list for July.

Nice photos, you can definately see a huge difference in quality when someone has a proper camera and lens compared to say a camera phone like me! did Ben Vorlich the other day and passed Ben Vane, was thinking this will be my next one thaks for the report very helpful :D
