This was as straightforward as they come and I spent twice the amount of time on the bus as I did on the hill - but that's the price you pay for ticking off all the hills within easy, short public transport access of Edinburgh, I suppose.

Getting off in the middle of Upper Largo, I followed the road up towards the cemetery car park where I stopped to put on waterproofs - more to keep out the chilly wind than any threat of rain.

The path skirted the side of a field before joining a track that has been reported elsewhere as very muddy, but seems to have been scraped and some drainage work done.

I walked around the farmyard (it looks more of an equine operation than a farm) and up the lane to the stile where I made my way up to the 293m top, then down and up to the top of Largo Law itself, staying to try to make out some views, then the now cold wind and threatening rainclouds forced me back down the hill and into the pub for a quick pint before the bus back to Edinburgh.

Nice report.

I hope you can come back some other time, when the sea, the sky and the hill are a better colour!
