We thoroughly enjoyed this boggy ramble around the hills behind West Linton. Parked at the indicated location and took our time navigating the many bogs en route including one that clearly entombed a sheep skeleton !!

The weather was "predictably Scottish" and we saw everything in the same day

Our Border loved it and came back smelling of everything she could

I think we saw eagles over the approach to the farm as we ended our path

As noted in other reports a summer's day might have been preferable but we just wanted to get out in the hills with the smell of Spring in the air !
