Corbetts included on this walk: Sgùrr an Fhuarain

Date walked: 24/04/2024

Time taken: 9 hours

Distance: 43.7 km

Ascent: 1755m

For those considering it, the bike and hike route from the east for these two hills is recommended. Yes it’s long, an hour cycle each way but with the exception of the ascent of Sgurr an Fhurain there’s good tracks, paths all the way.
Chances are you won’t see anyone except maybe on the summits and the path between. Wonderful solitude and superb views.

Where did you park? Was there an obvious place you could get a car without impeding anything else?

Looks like a good alternative route, as was considering the WH route early next month, so this maybe a good alternative.

Limited parking, but I found space by a house drive just east of the track, which is signed for Strathan. Enjoy!

I also wondered about parking. It's a pretty tight bit of road that and I wouldn't want to impede residents access. I'll have another look. Doing that one with the bike is quite appealing.
