Well well well, what a turn of events from last week cause this is up there with the best days I’ve had, the brothers ridge with Dad & Chris :D

Dad & I met Chris in Crianlarich then onwards to Glenshiel. One car left at the end of the ridge and off to the start point we go. There’s no beating around the bush here, it’s steep heading up to the ridge straight off the road, but is better going than looking at it from the car. The path/wet muddy route zig zags its way up the hillside which helped with the going

Just up there to go

Once on the ridge, there is a small cairn and the views have opened up already.

Dad & I, some great photo opportunities along the ridge

From here we followed a good path east taking us to Saileag, our first Munro of the day

Continued to follow the path up and along to Sgùrr a'Bhealaich Dheirg, where the summit cairn sits on at the end of a short arête. Chuffed with myself for making it along here with no dramas, enjoyed transversing along. Poles were left at the start and there is some requirements for hands to be used but a great bit of character

A couple of years ago you’d never have found me along here

Returning back along the arête, then it’s a matter of picking up the path once more to descent and reascend to the 3rd Munro of the day - Aonach Meadhoin
There are a few small ups and downs along the way, great bits of character along the ridge, the path is well defined and there is paths around the rocky bits

Leaving the final Munro of the day the path takes you over the Munro top of Sgurr an Fhuarail. Quick photo here then continuing on

Following the path there is another short ascent back up to 843m then it’s all downhill from here. The descent is over mainly pathless ground and is steep which made for some slow going. I can’t seem to move my feet sometimes going down when it’s so steep and I like to just take my time, but that makes for a safe descent for me.

Couple of snow flurries and the rain held off until we were back on the road so fab weather all day.

Great day, great company, great ridge walk.
