One day walk. Could not get Friday off due to the new Eroster enforced by law now not allowed working day over 7days continues. had to swap day off from Friday to Tuesday, rearrange the ferry tickets and accommodations to Arran. Couldn’t really go to far for 1 day. Having look at the forcast Tuesday meant to be not bad, managed to arrange a lift for my walk shuffle so decided to test Sunny EttrickPen loop15 route. The forcast changed this morning as heavy rain all day and wind gust upto 42mph, didn’t want to abandon the lift arranged which is hard to get, so went for it anyway. 15 peaks (Grahams/ Donald’s/ Donalds tops) requires car shuffle as start and end are different place. 28.5k 1664m 8hrs. Good tracks the most, mainly easy going. Start from Head of Ettrick, To start the walk- Reverse the WH Ettrick Hills horseshoe, once reached Wind Fell stop follow WH route, and carry on south to continue the ridge to reach Loch Fell then turn right to west Knowe, descent along the tree line steeply heading the the sheep pen to join the track up Croft Head and return to the sheep pen . Then to Caple fell, Smidhipe hill, White shank. Continue on the ridge to Bodesbeck, Mid rig, bell Craig, Andrewhinney hill, Trowgrain Middle Herman Law. And descent to Birkhill.
