Drove up from Glasgow on Friday afternoon and wild camped in Glen Nevis just over the river, using Paddy's Bridge to cross. There was one couple in their van and two others wild camping but we were well dispersed and could not hear them or see them, so felt as if we had the place to ourselves.
.
After porridge and a coffee we packed up our kit at 6 am, put it in the car, and drove to the carpark at the start of the walk. We set off on our walk at 6:45 am. The weather was amazing, if a bit too hot and sunny. We were rewarded with epic views throughout the day. Although we both felt well accomplished completing this route as we are only just getting into hiking, we did feel that some sections were perhaps a bit much for us. For example, there is a scrambly section between the first two peaks that saw us pretty much hanging off a rock face on the side of the mountain. And, although a lot of people state the Devils ridge doesn't live up to its name, we were a bit uncomfortable here. Furthermore, descending from Sgùrr a'Mhaim was brutal. Path was unconsolidated stones that was painful to walk down.
All in all, we had an epic day and the views are unrivalled but wouldn't do this route any time soon because some sections put us out of our comfort zone.
Kane made it over the bridge, I however didn't. I'm putting it down to my short arm span rather than my fear
