Parked up at Monar dam and cycled down Strathfarrar to the parking at the west end of the Strathfarrar 4 and left the bike there. The plan was to traverse the mountain and I was using Mountainlove's route. Walked up the landrover track to just before the bridge over the Allt Toll a' Mhuic, from here could just discern the ascent gulley through the morning mist and headed over toward it. As Mountainlove says in her report, it is very steep at the start, especially between 350 and 450m, but the way is straightforward, I kept mostly to the south side of the gully and took care. by around 600m the slope had relented and the mist had cleared from the tops giving good views of the temperature inversion. Continued across rocky outcrops along a picturesque ridge to the summit cairn. Headed west from here, now following a bit of a walkers pathe to the western end of the ridge, then did a curving descent back to Monar Lodge, and a quick walk back to the car.
