I found some photos from a couple of years back. The Walkhighlands description for this route covers Sgiath Chuil too, which makes it a much bigger day with a big steep descent between the two hills. But, I climbed Sgiath Chuil in a separate walk from Auchlyne - a very interesting route - https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=88324.

So these brief notes and photos (which aren't great - it was a dull day) of my Meall Glas walk may be of use to anyone who is happy to climb the two hills separately, or who simply wants to do a pleasant walk from Glen Lochay.

After parking at Kenknock, the route fords the river at Lubchurran. This was easy when I did it - but I could see that in spate, it would be better to not even try it. Then, I followed the WH description along the track, which rises at a steady, mostly easy gradient and extends high up the hillside, to around the 670m contour. At the end of the track, it was just a matter of plodding up the grassy slope above, which leads easily to the trig on Beinn Cheathaich. Up to that point there had been low cloud, but it now started to clear a little.

As I walked along the easy ridge, the cloud began to lift, with the Crianlarich summits coming into view.

There is a short final stony slope up to the summit of Meall Glas. Beinn Dòrain and Creag Mhòr are in the background.

Despite the dull conditions, this was a very enjoyable walk. I could see enough to tell that, on a sunny day, the views would have been wonderful.
