Not been out for a while, but planned with dad today for a more local one. New one for me and another repeat for dad.

Opted for the hydro track. Parked up and off we went. Good track, steep in places but takes you to around 340m altitude bypassing the waterfall. From there it’s a matter of pick your best way through the bog/swamp/streams. There are intermittent patches of “path” before then picking up a path heading on up above the Lochan leading onto the ridge.

Poor weather today, challenging testing conditions on top but the cloud base lifted on descent allowing the views to open slightly making for an enjoyable day out. With only 1 slip from me, I’d say a successful day
